SRS6 on Samsung NP530U3C with Windows 7 x64

Dear all,

1. Is SRS6 compatible with Samsung NP530U3C A04 (Windows 7 x64 Home Premium)?
SRS Admin Tool 6.0.12.4 creates several partitions required by W8 and W10 not needed in case of W7 installation so I suppose that they can be deleted and resized during W7 installation process. However possibly SRS6 will format a HDD as GPT and SRS5 as MBR. Am I right?

2. Do you remember what is an original build number of SRS5 on this machine? 5.0.0.7?
3. Can I use an old backup made under SRS5 on...

I've just upgraded my 2012 Samsung NP-N102S from Windows 7 Starter to Windows 10. I want to replace the HDD with a SSD. Will a SSD work on my netbook? Any help greatly appreciated thankyou.

The official roll-out of windows 10 is approaching and the "Get Windows 10 " notification has appeared on many Samsung notebooks. However, is it safe to proceed? Windows 8 / 8.1 caused a lot a grief for both Samsung and the owners of Samsung notebooks. Have lessons been learned regarding Windows 10?

Given that many of the potential problem areas are likely to be generic across the range of Samsung notebooks it is probably advantageous to bring together all the Samsung + Windows 10...

I figured out a way to downgrade the BIOS in the Samsung Series 9, but it should work for any modern day Samsung laptop*. Keep in mind, I am no expert, so use at your own risk. These instructions easily worked for me without any complications.

*Confirmed to work on the SS9, SS7, and SS5. These instructions are dependent on whether your system uses Winflash or Afuwin to update the BIOS. If your extracted "__Samsung_Update" folder does not contain either BIOS update software nor a BIOS...

Series 5 ultrabook won't boot after installing windows to SSD

I received my Series 5 Ultrabook 13" 1 week ago and today received the Samsung 830 128Gb SSD I ordered separately.

After installing Windows 7 from an USB disk to the SSD, upon the first reboot the laptop freezes at the startup screen (where it says "Samsung", if I'm fast enough I can access the BIOS, but not so after waiting for a few seconds, then the laptop just doesn't respond at all). I tried to reinstall windows, but the same thing happened.

Does anyone know what I could do?

While away on a business trip, my wife said the Windows 8 automatically updated to 10. She did like it and rolled back to 8.

The next day she was editing a film in adobe and the pc did the blue screen sad face and then rebooted and for most of the day it sat on the Samsung Screen with the spinning dots never advancing past that. She shut it off.

I'm pretty good with IT issues but this one has me stump. f4 wouldn't work unless I put the bios into CSM mode. I was then able to hit f4 for...

I have this model notebook. When it works with Windows 7, screen light can not be adjusted(all in full light)...when it works with windows 8 or 8.1, screen light problem is ok but this time bluetooth feature is not working properly. In both case, related latest offical drivers is loaded(from sw update program) and also BIOS is updated. What do u think with that?

Ahoy all,

I started my laptop the other day and had an unresponsive touchpad and keyboard (an external one still worked). After a reboot the computer got to the spinning dots under the Samsung logo and then goes to a black screen where it hangs.

I have got into Safe Mode, and Recovery as I thought this was probably a sign it was time for the clean installation I'd been putting off until University was over. However, there is no 'restore factory image' setting.

ive got a Netbook NC10 without any Operating System, now i know how to install W7 on it with the Samsung Admintool.

I dont need Windows on it an my question is it possible to remove the MBR Fix from Bios and install a Linux on this Netbook.

Hello,

I'm trying to revive an old NP530 that my brother left me. It came with Win8 preinstalled (in 2013), then was upgraded to Win10. I also managed to install elementaryOS alongside Windows, and while it was totally usable, you had to boot into BIOS to change boot order to select grub partition to launch it. Not the neatest solution, I know, but it worked.

Just now I decided to completely wipe it, get rid of Windows and make a move to Manjaro Linux (Archlinux based). I went with the...

Upon powering up the laptop this is what happens : turn on > Samsung logo > shut down itself > turn on it self > massage " All boot options are tried press <F4> ... I bought my NP900X3C-A03US in late 2012 and it has been a faithful companion - I travel a lot and I really appreciated its thin profile and light weight, along with the decent battery life (if managed well). Over the years I had a few minor issues with the computer, but no show stoppers. Lost a few rubber feet, developed a few screen anomalies (dead pixel, stuck on pixel, and some hot spots).....

Hi, the notebook 9 pro comes with a m.2 ssd that uses sataIII. Does anybody know if you can replace it with an mvne pcie m.2 ssd?

Hi,

I recently updated my bios and now my laptop wont boot.

I'm getting to the constant "press f4 to recover screen" and that just loops the laptop over and over again.

The bios indicates that "SATA port 1 is not installed"

I have tried putting in a new ssd but it still doesn't pick the ssd up. I have also completed the technique where we disconnect everything but it still the same.

The bios version at the moment is P05 ACJ

I have also tried the CSM OS and turned off secure boot but...
